I agree with your Feb. 28 opinion although the National Popular Vote does appear to be an improvement over the current system used by Connecticut and other states. The current system awards all the Electoral College votes to the majority winner in the state which seems to substantiate the need for some type of meaningful change.
Perhaps that change could be to award the percentage of votes based on the percentage of the popular vote for each candidate in that state. So, if candidate A receives 60 percent of the state?s popular vote, that candidate would be awarded 60 percent of the Electors. I believe that would be more in keeping with the concept of ?one person, one vote.?
